The KBIA facilities are owned by the University of Missouri. KBIA is, however, a public entity. The station's funding comes primarily from our listeners and underwriting support.

What is KBIA's relation to NPR?
KBIA is a member station of NPR which means it is licensed to broadcast shows that NPR produces. KBIA also broadcasts specific programs from PRI and other program distributors.
