What happens when four self-proclaimed parking violators get together for True/False Film Festival's annual March March Parade? They get dressed up as meter maids. The theme for this year's festival is "the influencing machine," and the four women picked parking meters as their chosen apparatuses. Ann Breidenbach, Jacquelyn Sandone, Barbie Reid and Elizabeth Bergman say they want to remind out-of-town filmgoers to watch out for parking tickets. KBIA's Harum Helmy bring us an audio postcard from this year's parade.

Missouri falls below expected revenue in February

State Budget Director Linda Luebbering

The Missouri Office of Administration released today the General Revenue report for February. 

According to the report, general revenue collections have increased 2.4 percent in the 2012 fiscal year. But so far, that’s below the projected 2.7 percent increase. State Budget Director Linda Luebbering  says the state is confident it will meet projections, due to pay raises and an increase in jobs.

In rural Stoddard County, sorting through the wreckage from the storms

Governor Jay Nixon greets residents like Charlotte Harty during a tour of wreckage in Stoddard County, Missouri.

The same storm that produced tornadoes in Harrisburg, Illinois and Branson, Missouri also struck  rural Stoddard County, Missouri. The National Weather Service confirmed the level EF - 03 tornado left a 21 mile stretch of destruction from Puxico to Bell City. As KRCU’s Jacob McCleland reports, residents are now sorting through the wreckage … and beginning to put their lives back together.
