Over the next six years Cardinal Health in Moberly, Missouri, is expected to create fifty new jobs for the area due to expansion in its manufacturing facility. Some of the job openings will include: maintenance technicians, machine operators, and material handlers.

“ The expansion comes as a result of an increase in demand of the quality products that they produce here in Moberly, and were very pleased to see that the company decided to make that investment to grow their business here in central Missouri,” David Gaines, Vice President at Moberly area economic development, said.

Cardinal Health is a company that helps hospitals, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers improve the cost-effectiveness of healthcare. They provide products and services to many medical institutions and hospitals to help care for their patients.

“Any time we can create a job it’s an advantage for the community, because the more income that’s there for the people that live here, well the better they are, and also the more we can do to make the community better for everyone else,” Bob Riley, Mayor of Moberly said.

A hiring event is scheduled for December 9, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Comfort Inn located at 1801 West Outer Road in Moberly. The hiring event will allow applicants the opportunity to learn more about Cardinal Health as well as take part in direct interviews for open positions.

The Department of Economic Development has helped Cardinal Health with the planning process and will continue to do so by assisting them in finding different resources available to locate quality applicants for the jobs they have created, according to Gaines.
