Consolidated Water Issues Precautionary Boil Water Advisory

A water service area located within Consolidated Public Water Supply District Number One of Boone County is under a precautionary boil water advisory due to a leak in the water main.

According to the press release, the problem was identified at 5 p.m. on November 10. Customers in the district have reported experiencing no or low water pressure.

The city says that people with severely compromised immune systems, infants and some elderly may be at an increased risk. They also advise individuals in the area to use boiled water for drinking, brushing teeth, and all other food preparation.

The Water District says that the affected areas include: “the Midway area north of Highway 40 including Jacobs Lane and Ivy Lane, Midway Crossing and Rollingwood Estates Subdivisions, Southwesterly to Hickory Grove School Road, Lizzie Lane to Tarrapin Hills Subdivision, Perche Hills Estates, Scott Boulevard south of Vawter School Road, Bellview Acres, Country Hill, Brookview Meadows, and South Pinebrook Estates Subdivisions, Gillespie Bridge Road, Johnmeyer Lane, I70 Drive Southeast, Countryshire Drive.”

Consolidated Water, who is not open on Veteran's Day, was unable to comment. However, the company has posted the official advisory and a map of the affected area on their web site.
