Inclement weather and road conditions have caused school closures across mid-Missouri this morning, following Sunday night’s blizzard warning.

Columbia Public Schools announced Sunday night that classes are cancelled Monday. The Hallsville school district, among other mid-Missouri school districts, will also be closed. You can check KOMU's full list of closureshere.

The University of Missouri announced that all classes and other campus operations are delayed until noon today. The campus-wide email announcement said the only university employees required to come to campus this morning are those deemed situationally-critical.  The campus delay does not include MU Health Care hospitals or the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, which will remain open 24/7.

The Missouri Department of Transportation, Columbia Public Works, and numerous other agencies stressed that people should only drive if absolutely necessary. MoDOT offers regular road condition updates on its Traveler Information Map, which you can viewhere.

The City of Columbia said that as of Monday morning, morning crews were planning to finish clearing priority routes and trouble spots at hills and curves. The city is not enforcing its rule that cars must not be parked on priority routes. The city also has a website that serves as a clearinghouse for information during severe storms, you can find that here.

Some power outages were reported Sunday night into Monday morning. You can follow these links to view the outage maps for each of these Mid-Missouri providers:
