Residents are advised to boil their water if they live within these boundaries
After a broken water line today, a large part of Jefferson City is under a Boil Order Advisory. Anyone in the city using Missouri American Water must boil their water before using it.
The water company, which serves most of Jefferson City, says a 6-inch main broke this morning. The company repaired the line this afternoon.
Jefferson City schools dismissed early, and the Cole County courthouse is closed. Missouri American Water says the Boil Order Advisory is planned to stay in effect until late tomorrow afternoon or early Thursday morning.
