Man Shot While Driving on Freeway

Authorities say a man is recovering after being shot and wounded while driving on a freeway in St. Louis.

St. Louis police say the 25-year-old victim was shot in the buttocks about 11 p.m. Sunday while driving near where Interstates 44 and 55 split.

Investigators say the man drove himself to a hospital after being shot.

Other details were not immediately released.

The shooting took place less than 24 hours after three women were shot at while driving in separate vehicles on Interstate 70 near St. Louis. One of those women, a 20-year-old was shot in the hip and is expected to survive. The other two women were uninjured.
