Missouri Department of Conservation Names Two New Deputy Directors

Missouri Department of Agriculture

The Missouri Department of Conservation made changes to its leadership team with two new appointed positions. The two new Deputy Directors are Jennifer Battson Warren with Business and Aaron Jeffries with Outreach and Policy.

As Deputy Director of Outreach and Policy, Jeffries will supervise the Outreach and Education division. Jeffries has been working for the department for 15 years and has been the assistant to the director since 2009.

“My grandfather worked for the department for 35 years. I hunt, fish, and enjoy the outdoors,” Jeffries said. “It’s pretty exciting, I’m looking forward to the opportunity.”

As Deputy Director of Business, Battson Warren will supervise the Department’s construction division, business administration, and information technology unit. She has been working for the department since 1996.

Tim Ripperger, Deputy Director with MDC, will be retiring after working with the department since 1977. He said he expects to see continual improvement in the department under the leadership of these two new deputy directors.

“Both Aaron and Jennifer are great people,” Ripperger said. “Both have been with the department for a long number of years and both are highly qualified candidates who are going to help the lead the agency into the future.”

Jeffries and Battson Warren will both begin their new positions on November 1.
