Regional news coverage from the KBIA newsroom, including:

  • Around a hundred demonstrators rallied outside the State Capitol Wednesday to protest plans to induct conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh into the Hall of Famous Missourians.
  • Governor Jay Nixon is calling the budget approved by the Missouri House last week “dead wrong” because it restores funding for higher education by cutting a health care program for the blind.
  • Birth records for presidential and vice presidential candidates would need to be publicly available for those appearing on Missouri ballots.
  • Some are calling it a "game-changer" in the battle against methamphetamine labs — a new form of pseudoephedrine that apparently can't be used to make the dangerous and addictive drug.
Scarlett Robertson joined KBIA as a producer in February 2011. She studied psychology at Lake Forest College and holds a masters degree in journalism from Syracuse University.
