The Columbia Board of Education has given final approval to the district’s attendance boundaries.  Tweaked from out of 182 possible scenarios, the Board Monday approved Approach B, which divides Columbia Public School’s Secondary Boundaries into six intermediate schools for grades 6-8 and three high schools for grades 9-12.

The University of Missouri system is renovating its administrative headquarters at the same time officials cite nearly $37 million in critical campus repairs.

The University of Missouri’s out-of-state applications outnumbered in-state applications for the first time in the school’s history. Vice Provost for Enrollment Manager Ann Korschgen said the recent rise is thanks to an increased recruitment the country, as well as the school's reputation.

The second meeting discussing MU’s  budget took place Wednesday where Director of Budget Tim Rooney led an updated presentation on the university’s financial situation for the coming year.

Columbia Public Schools announced new leadership team members for Columbia’s Battle High School Monday. Jacob Sirna was named Assistant Principal of the new high school which is scheduled to open in Fall of 2013.
