Dorial Green-Beckham and two teammates arrested; suspended one game

MU's student newspaper, The Maneater, reports that Dorial Green-Beckham, the country's number one recruit, was arrested for possession of marijuana Wednesday night. The team spokesman told reporters that Green-Beckham and teammates would be penalized one game.
Freshman receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, the former No. 1 recruit in the nation, along with two other Missouri football players were arrested on drug charges Wednesday night. Green-Beckham, freshman linebacker Torey Boozer and freshman receiver Levi Copelin were arrested just before midnight on charges of possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana, according to MU Police Department records.

MU Police warn of fake football tickets

Some Mizzou football fans got less than they bargained for at last Saturday’s game. MU Police received several reports of fraudulent tickets after the game against the University of Georgia. Those with fake tickets were turned away at the gate. MU Police Captain Brian Weimer says it’s only when you look at a real ticket next to a fake one that you may be able to tell the difference.

Some Columbia residents open homes to visiting SEC fans

Some Columbia homeowners are taking advantage of packed hotels this year by renting out their properties on home game football weekends. MU’s transition to the SEC has inspired a number of homeowners to open their homes for a weekend to visiting fans.

Dan Reidt, local property owner, decided to join the bandwagon after hearing about the money other renters were hoping to earn.

Missouri held talkative defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson out of media day Monday after the player's remarks about Georgia and the SEC in general.

After a question about whether he’d watched any of the Georgia game, this is how Richardson responded:

“I watched that game – turned it off, too," Richardson said. "It’s like watching Big 10 football – it’s old-man-football. So they have a Heisman candidate quarterback? Okay, so we’re going to get to him and do what we’re supposed to do.”
