The Food and Drug Administration is establishing regulations aimed at protecting the U.S. food supply from terrorist acts. In the last episode of Field Notes, we explored some of the reasons why lawmakers view food terrorism as such a significant threat. In this week's episode, we look at the agency’s proposed remedy, which would require the nation’s largest food manufacturing plants to tighten up security. And as I learned during the reporting for this story, the dairy industry is considered the most vulnerable to attack.
