As of Tuesday, there were 107 cases of COVID-19 in Taney County, 60 of those active. And the Taney County Health Department is warning of some possible community exposures. A person with the illness was at Plato’s Closet in Springfield Wednesday, July 1, from 10 to 11 a.m., and on the same day went to Walmart at Branson Hills in Branson from 3 to 4 p.m. and to Penzoil in Branson from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. They did not wear a mask.
Anyone at those locations at those times should monitor for symptoms.
Meanwhile, the City of Branson is requiring anyone entering a city facility to wear a face covering starting Wednesday, July 8.
The new policy includes the Branson RecPlex, the Branson Police Department and City Hall. Anyone who attends Municipal Court at City Hall will also be required to wear a face covering.
And the city is reminding residents that many things can be taken care of online rather than in person, including paying utilities and tickets and reporting incidents to the Branson Police Department.
