Health Department's Dashboard Shows 6 More Deaths From COVID-19 in Greene County

Update: The health department said the latest deaths were a man in his 60s, a woman in her 70s, three men in their 70s and a man in his 90s.

Original story: There have been six more deaths from COVID-19 in Greene County, according to the Springfield-Greene County Health Department’s Dashboard Friday morning.  No details have been released.

The number of active cases in the county is up from 2,758 Thursday to 2,831 Friday. In all, 7,287 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded by the health department.

Hospitalizations dropped to 117 with 19 in the ICU.  Fifty-three of those in the hospital are residents of Greene County.

In the past seven days, there's been an eight percent increase in recorded cases in the county.
