Missouri On Mic

Hey, Missouri! You’re turning 200 this year. And we want to hear from all Missourians.

What comes to mind when you think of Missouri? What does being a Missourian mean to you, and what has living in Missouri meant to you? What is your hope for the future of our state?

This summer, we’re launching Missouri on Mic so you can answer these questions and more about the Show Me State. Let us know what Missouri means to you!

To participate, all you have to do is drop in to our audio booth at the True False Film Fest at the Stephens Lake Park Island Pavilion, in Columbia, Saturday, May 8th and Sunday, May 9th from 12.30 to 5.30pm. It’s free, no audio skills are required – we’ll take care of that – and you are welcome to bring a relative, friend or companion to record with. Drop-ins and walk-ins are very welcome, but you can also sign up in advance by emailing Kelly Famuliner at kelly@truefalse.org, by May 6th.

You’ll also find us traveling around the state at bicentennial festivals this summer, so stay tuned! To learn more about Missouri on Mic or contact us, call the KBIA Newsroom at 573.882.4032

Thank you!
