Kansas City Landlords |Young Adult Book Selections

Segment 1, beginning at 5:09: Kansas City property owners want to see their tenants get the financial assistance they need for rent and utilities.

The pandemic is hitting Kansas City tenants hard, but the CDC eviction moratorium is also putting landlords in a tough spot. "Our goal is to stabilize our rental market . . . We think of ourselves as the voice of rental housing providers," said Stacey Johnson-Cosby. Local organizations with CARES Act funds to offer have until the end of December to distribute that money.


Segment 2, beginning at 28:59: The best books for young adult readers in 2020, according to Kansas City librarians.

As the year winds down, we look at young adult books to keep you entertained during the colder months. Themes of particular interest lately: contemporary realism that explores intersectional identities, escapism through fantasy and cozy romances.
