Bluegrass brings new life to old traditions at Rocheport church

One Rocheport church is finding new life in old traditions.

First Christian Church was founded in a home eight years after Lewis and Clark passed through the area. It has the second oldest continuous Christian service nationwide – the first this side of the Appalachia. In recent years, the congregation averaged only about 1o people.

But two years ago, Pastor Mickey Heavener and Pastor Tim Carson of Broadway Christian Church in Columbia came up with an idea to revitalize this small church: bluegrass.

In this week's faith and values update, reporter Ryan Schuessler takes us to one of their toe-tapping, foot-stomping services.
