The True/False film festival chose the movie Bully as the keystone for the festival’s True Life Fund.

David Wilson and Paul Sturtz started the fund in order to give back to subjects of a documentary film each year. In the documentary, cameras followed five children around for one year who have been bullied.

“It educates us all, it sort of inspires us all to help figure out what we can personally do about this problem,” said Wilson.

The Crossing and the Bertha Foundation have agreed to partner in support of the True Life Fund. The Bertha Foundation has pledged to match dollar for dollar up to 15 thousand dollars of the money raised for the True Life Fund. The rest of the funding will come from outreach within the Columbia community and donations from festival attendees.
