Celebrate Latinx Heritage

The new academic year at Missouri State University has begun. The first major celebration of the fall semester will honor the history, culture and contributions of citizens of Latin heritage.

Latinx Heritage Month will take place in September, featuring several events that are free and open to the public. 

Yvania Garcia-Pusateri, executive director of multicultural programs at Missouri State, and Melissa Gutierrez, a junior political science and modern languages major, explain the term Latinx and share more about the celebration.An interview with Yvania Garcia-Pusateri and Melissa Gutierrez.
