As Columbia voters went to the polls today, many volunteers helped to keep the process moving along.

Although voting did not open until six this morning, Volunteer Sasha Buntyn says she started setting up at the Bethel Baptist Church polling place at 4:30 am. She says those in the precinct she’s working at seem happy and ready to vote.

“Everybody is in a good mood, seriously I’m not, no one’s coming in here cranky. And, everyone seems like they know who they want, they know who they’re voting for. So, it’s actually been quite fun,” Buntyn says.

Voting ends at 7:00 pm tonight.
