A former attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union who filed Ferguson-related lawsuits has been removed from a St. Louis County grand jury after Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch complained about him.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports Circuit Judge Steve Goldman removed the grand juror on Sept. 28, less than two weeks after the man began serving as jury foreman.

The American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit Friday asking St. Louis County to put the man back on the grand jury.

ACLU of Missouri executive director Jeffrey Mittman says the man did nothing to prompt his dismissal.

Mittman declined to identify the man because of secrecy surrounding grand juries.

McCulloch declined to comment, saying he's not a party to the lawsuit and has not seen the documents.
