Four-star basketball recruit Blake Harris announced Sunday he that he is “officially a tiger” after an official visit to the University of Missouri this weekend. Harris announced his decision to sign with the Tigers on Twitter, posting a photo in a Tigers uniform.

Harris was joined by Michael Porter Jr. and other five-star recruit Kevin Knox this weekend as the three toured campus.

“I want to accomplish many things,” said Harris. “I want to be one of the best point guards – the best point guard in the nation, lead in assists. I want to be a leader to my teammates. I just want to win games and everything goes from there.”

Harris joins an elite recruiting class in Porter Jr., who committed to the Tigers in March, and Texas point guard C.J. Roberts who signed with MU in November. With landing three top recruits since his arrival in March, Cuonzo Martin still has two additional scholarships available for 2017.

“I think Cuonzo Martin, on his own, is a very good recruiter,” said Bill Pollock, Sports Director of Missourinet. “I think he can find good basketball players. If you look at wherever he’s been a head coach, whether it’s been at Missouri State, Tennessee, or Cal, he’s gotten good players, he’s had success and he’s won game.”

The No. 99 player in the 2017 recruiting class, Harris was considering Michigan State, UCONN, Rutgers, and NC State.
