A Greene County resident who was diagnosed with COVID-19 this week may have exposed other people to the illness.
The Springfield-Greene County Health Department says the person was showing symptoms when they went to the Walmart at 1923 E. Kearney on May 10 around 5 p.m. According to the health department, anyone who was at that location on that date and time is at low risk for contracting COVID-19, but they should watch for symptoms. There’s no need to self-quarantine unless symptoms develop. Symptoms include: cough, fever, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, sore throat and a new loss of taste or smell.
Call a healthcare provider if you develop symptoms.
Health department officials say that as steps are taken to reopen the community, it’s even more important to stay home if you’re sick.
