A look at Bloomberg News

While many news organizations are reducing their international operations, Bloomberg News is expanding. Bloomberg News now has nearly 200 news bureaus in 72 countries. 

Their content syndicates to more than 440 newspapers worldwide. Bloomberg also has a television network, a radio station, and now publishes Bloomberg Markets Magazine and Bloomberg Businessweek.

To learn more about the global impact of the news operation, Global Journalist spoke to two Bloomberg managers. They talked about how Bloomberg leverages the company’s access to vast amounts of financial data to deliver news from a business perspective. 

Panelists:

Steve Stroth is the Commodity Markets Team Leader at Bloomberg News. Based in Chicago, he manages reporters and editors covering more than two dozen raw materials.

Cesca Antonelli is Bloomberg’s managing editor and bureau chief in Washington, D.C. She has worked as a reporter and editor in 5 Bloomberg News offices in 13 years at the company.

Rehman Tungekar is a former producer for KBIA, who left at the beginning of 2014.
