A 73-year-old missing hiker from Missouri has been found dead in Canyonlands National Park in Utah.
Wayne County, Utah sheriff's deputies say the man had been hiking alone and his body was found in Horseshoe Canyon on Saturday.
The man was supposed to have been out of the canyon by July 28th and was reported missing Friday.
Investigators say they're unsure how long the man had been dead, and that his cause of death will be determined by the Utah State Medical Examiner's Office.
His name and hometown were withheld pending notification of family members.
Deputies say the man was doing different hikes and had sufficient drinking water and good hiking shoes. His vehicle was found at the canyon's trailhead.
Horseshoe Canyon is famous for its American Indian rock art.
