Missouri deer hunters harvested 178,936 deer during the November portion of the fall firearms hunting season, which ran November 16-26, according to preliminary data released from the Missouri Department of Conservation.

That number is down from last year’s season, when hunters checked 200,738 deer.

Top harvest counties were Franklin, Texas and Callaway.
