Rowden Takes to Senate Floor to Condemn NCAA for Missouri Football Ruling

Missouri Senate Communications

Senator Caleb Rowden slammed the NCAA as a "largely disrespected entity" in a speech on the Senate floor Wednesday.

Rowden, R-Columbia, condemned the recent sanctions made by the NCAA against the MU football program, saying the organization is stripping the potential for young athletes to go to college and learn the valuable lessons and traits given to them through teams. The sanctions include a loss of scholarships.

Rowden is seeking a formal "remonstrance," a statement that could ultimately be voted on by the Senate.
