Two Armed Men Attempt Vehicle Theft at MSU

At Missouri State University, a man was threatened with a knife as he confronted two men that were attempting to break into his vehicle on Tuesday.

 

According to an emergency alert issued by campus security, the incident occurred on the fourth level of the Bear Park South parking garage at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.

 

Both suspects are described as white males with average builds, wearing black hoodies and blue jeans. One is said to be 6 feet tall, the other is said to have brownish/ red facial hair.

 

Suzanne Shaw, vice president of communications at MSU, told KSMU Wednesday that the Springfield Police Department is still investigating the incident and had not yet identified the suspects.

 

Shaw also said that MSU Campus Security as well as SPD have increased patrols in the area around Grand Street and Holland Avenue where the incident took place.
