The Breakdown

The Breakdown is a music-interview podcast hosted by Daniel Litwin, where he sits down with local Mid-Missouri musicians and dissects one of their favorite original songs. Focusing on the instrumental and lyrical elements of their songs, Daniel asks artists about the creative and artistic decisions that went into choosing sounds, rhythms and melodies, as well digging deeper into the artists' head space. The 2018 True/False Film Fest kicks off this week in Columbia. And while it is a documentary film festival at its heart, there are whole portions of the event dedicated to art, education and music. Dozens of bands descend on Columbia to perform before films and at showcases at local venues.
