Agriculture Park

The 50th annual Larry D. Clark Summer Repertory Theatre at MU season is well underway, and the wow factor keeps coming. Opening tonight is 'Ragtime the Musical', which director JOY POWELL says is coming together thanks to the efforts of a "whole village." Also, Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture's ADAM SAUNDERS is breathing a sigh of relief now that the Columbia Farmers Market can finally - after many weather-related delays - call the pavilion structure at the new Agriculture Park home. So what's next? (3:40) July 11, 2019

Agriculture Park will officially open this Saturday, weather-permitting, after many years of fundraising and construction! Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture's ADAM SAUNDERS tells us why it's the ultimate compliment to the neighboring Activity and Recreation Center. Also, HANNA REEVES invites everyone to come and enjoy a new experience at the newly-expanded Sager | Braudis Gallery in downtown Columbia! (4:35) May 16, 2019

To say this winter has been a challenge is a bit of an understatement. Nobody knows that better than ADAM SAUNDERS, who says the cold weather - and therefore the cold ground - has delayed the grand opening of Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture's new Agriculture Park. And speaking of the winter weather, NICK FOSTER tells us about Voluntary Action Center's efforts to shelter those without during the extreme cold, and to help those in need of rent assistance. The grand opening of Columbia’s agriculture park has been delayed due to cold temperatures.

The agriculture park was set to open March 9 at Clary-Shy Community Park. The park is a collaboration between Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture, Columbia Parks and Recreation, Columbia Farmers Market and Sustainable Farms and Communities.

“Our tentative opening date of the agriculture park will be April 27,” Adam Saunders, the Build This Town campaign director said.

Today Paul Pepper visits with NANCY GRIGGS about the 16th annual  Piano Student Showcase. See for yourself 30 local piano students - the youngest of which is 6 years-old - on stage at the Missouri Theatre this Sunday afternoon! At [4:17] ADAM SAUNDERS, Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture, invites everyone to the Columbia Farmers' Market this Saturday for the official groundbreaking on the new Agriculture Park!
