Officials from the Columbia Public School District say all schools in the distract are closed Monday due to early morning snow fall which covered the city's roads.
The closures include many private schools in Columbia, including Father Tolten Catholic School, Columbia Independent School and others.
Officials in Jefferson City say schools in the area remain open.
