Documentary filmmakers define their role

Documentary filmmakers, like journalists, seek to capture true stories in their work.

Yet they are sometimes seen more as artists than reporters. Does having a less defined role help or hinder them in getting access to those important, hard to tell stories, or do they experience the same type of censorship on a regular basis?  
 
Host David Reed spoke to Karim El Hakim and Victor Kossakovsky -- two filmmakers whose work will be screened in this year's True/False Film Fest.
