Stephens College is expected to start construction this month on a major renovation for its new master of physician assistant studies program.

The college is renovating the inside of Sampson Hall and rebuilding its addition to host the program’s classrooms, faculty offices, labs and multi-use learning spaces.

Project Manager Richard Perkins declined to comment on the project’s cost or where the project’s funds are coming from.

Perkins said he expects to finish renovations in July 2016, and The Columbia Daily Tribune reports that the new degree plan will launch next fall.
