Former University of Missouri football player Michael Sam is heading back to Columbia to work on getting his master’s degree.
According to KOMU News Director Randy Reeves, Sam has spoken to KOMU about working as a sports broadcaster for their Sunday night show, Sports Extra. Sam spoke with KOMU Sports Director Chris Gervino about getting involved at the station.
Reeves said Sam would be a great addition to KOMU Sports because knowledge on football on and off the field.
“We see Michael as a former athlete with a tremendous about of experience on the field who could give us a unique perspective on covering Missouri football,” Reeves said.
