The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for portions of eastern and central Missouri, including Columbia, Wednesday night through Thursday morning.
Thunderstorms were expected in Columbia after 10 p.m. Wednesday night. Some thunderstorms may include large hail and damaging winds, according to the National Weather Service.
Wind gusts could reach as high as 22 mph.
