Ninety-four of 226 eligible MU faculty members have accepted buyouts and will retire by Sept. 1.
Faculty with nine-month contracts will retire from the system effective Sept. 1. Faculty with 12-month contracts can retire any time between July 1 and Sept. 1.
Provost Latha Ramchand announced the buyout offer in November.
