The Mid-Missouri Chapter of Louder Than a Bomb held a fundraiser event from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Logboat Brewing Co. on Sunday to raise money to attend an international competition.
The Brave New Voices Festival in Las Vegas will feature more than 500 poets from more than 100 teams from around the world, including teams from the United States, Australia, Zimbabwe, Canada and Italy.
Sunday's fundraiser included live music by Violet and the Undercurrents and Loose Loose, an aerial art performance by Mythic Aerial Arts and poetry performances from OneMic and Hickman High School's award-winning slam poetry team.
