So there’s a phrase we’ve heard a lot from politicians recently, especially at last week’s Republican National Convention: Law and Order. The concept is shaping up to be a key focus in the election season we’ve now officially entered.
On the Check-In today we’re talking with Missourians about Law and Order that works for us all.
And spoiler-alert - keeping our citizens safe and keeping the Order might not be a clear choice - it’s possible we can have both. We’ll explore Law and Order not just as a political issue, but also as a human one … that cuts to the heart of our founding values as Americans.
Also - when you think of Theater-that-tackles-Social Justice you may not immediately think: Shakespeare - But you might change your mind after our conversation here on the Check-In.
Our Guests:
Luz Maria Henriquez, Executive Director of the ACLU of Missouri.
David Tyson Smith, Attorney, Smith & Parnell LLC
David Mitchell, University of Missouri Law Professor
Adam Flores, St. Louis Shakespeare Festival
