If the governor signs the bill into law, alcohol sales would begin two hours earlier - at 4 a.m. - at St. Louis-Lambert International Airport.
The bill sponsor, Springfield Representative Lincoln Hough, says the measure was tacked onto his bill about Sunday liquor sale laws and make it easier for liquor control agents.
"It's hard for them to do their jobs when you have different areas different stores opening at different times on Sundays," Hough said.
Supporters say the measure to push back the time to buy alcohol at Lambert is catered to international travelers.
