Each election year, KBIA sits down with local candidates to hear what they have to say on their own terms. Some of these candidates you might see on TV every day. Others might be familiar by name only, if that. But KBIA interviews them all so that you can be informed when you go to the polls in November.

Susan Montee came to the the KBIA studios in Columbia

KBIA's Ryan Famuliner interviews former Missouri State Auditor Susan Montee, who is challenging incumbent Republican Lt. Governor Peter Kinder in the November 6th election.

In the interview, Montee talks about changes she would make to the structure of the office, drawing from her experience as Auditor. She also discusses the perception that the Lt. Governor’s office has little power in state Government, and how she would make sure to have an impact in the role. She also says, working with a Governor of the same party allows the Lt. Governor to be much more productive.
