On July 31, voters in Zimbabwe took part in the country’s presidential election. The contest pitted longtime President Robert Mugabe against his rival Morgan Tsvangirai.
In the end, Mugabe won the election with a reported 61% of the vote. But his opponent is not conceding without putting up a fight. Tsvangarai alleges that vote rigging and widespread fraud cost him the election, and is vowing to challenge the results in court.
