All Columbia flights to Chicago's O'Hare and Midway International Airports were canceled Friday after a disgruntled employee intentionally set an FAA tower in a Chicago suburb on fire.

Flights from O'Hare scheduled for 12:15 p.m. and 8:55 p.m. to Columbia Regional airport were canceled. A departing flight scheduled for 12:40 from Columbia to O'Hare was also canceled.

Currently, Fridays cancelations will have no effect on Saturday and Sundays scheduled flights to and from Chicago airports. You can check the flight statuses here

American Eagle flights to and from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport were still scheduled for Friday.

Friday's cancelations at Chicago airports affected Marching Mizzou on their travels to this weekend's game in Columbia, South Carolina. Their scheduled flight out of Lambert-St. Louis International Airport was one of more than 2000 flights canceled at O'Hare and Midway airports.
