The Missouri House was 13 votes short of overriding Governor Jay Nixon’s veto of the right to work bill during its veto session yesterday.

The measure would have prohibited companies from requiring union membership or dues as a condition of employment.

Meanwhile, Republican lawmakers in both chambers overturned 10 of Nixon’s vetoes, include legislation that will bar local governments from enacting their own minimum wage.
