One Mizzou strives to promote diversity on campus.
Earlier today, the University of Missouri celebrated the launch of a new student-led initiative called One Mizzou. MU Chancellor Brady Deaton has high hopes for what the program will accomplish on campus in the wake of two racially charged incidents in a year.
“It really is an embracing of the future that we would like to see evolve as a learning community without allowing the kind of ugly incidences that we have had to disrupt the building of what is truly a wonderful community for the future of learning and the future of our country,” said Deaton.
The program will support diversity-centered events on campus and implement diversity education for incoming freshman among other things.
