Greene County Names CARES Act Relief Fund Administrator

The Greene County Commission has appointed Lyle Foster as the county’s CARES Act Relief Fund administrator.

He will be responsible for establishing the grant application processes as well as the review and grading procedures that will help the commission allocate $34 million in coronavirus relief funds.

Foster has more than 40 years of experience in grant writing, reviewing and management and more than 20 years in nonprofit administration.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology, political science and urban studies from Macalester College, a master’s degree in sociology from Brown University, a master’s degree in religion from Yale University and doctorate of educational leadership from the University of Missouri Columbia.

The grant administrator position is funded through the CARES Act and is contracted through the end of the year, according to the county. Grant application process guidelines are expected to be announced by midsummer.
