Rogersville Farm Boy To Be Featured On Times Square Billboard

Paxton Uchtman, 7, enjoys helping out on his family farm in Rogersville, Missouri.

A seven-year-old boy from Rogersville, Missouri will take center stage this weekend on a billboard in Times Square.

Paxton Uchtman couldn't care less about superheroes or video games, but he's obsessed with farming and his toy farm animals. And that creativity helped him win a national video contest hosted by the iconic toy company Schleich, which is known for its animal figurines.

Uchtman talked to KSMU's Jennifer Moore Friday by phone about the contest and his toys.

Because of the pandemic, Uchtman won't be there in person to see his video appear Saturday in Times Square. But Schleich has arranged for Paxton and his family to attend a virtual party, hosted by the actor who played Anna in Disney's Frozen on Broadway.

According to Schleich, fans can still watch a livestream of the Times Square billboard and a recording of the virtual viewing party on Schleich’s Instagramand Facebookpages.
