Three of the latest COVID-19 positive individuals in Greene County went out in public while they were infectious. The Springfield-Greene County Health Department says anyone who was at the same locations as the cases is at low risk of contracting COVID-19 but should watch for symptoms.
Before they were diagnosed, they visited these locations on these dates:
- Friday, June 5, Ebbet’s Field, 1027 E. Walnut, from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. while infectious but not symptomatic. They sat outside and did not wear a mask.
- Saturday, June 6, HomeGoods, 3333 S. Glenstone, from 1 to 2 p.m., infectious and symptomatic and not masked.
- Sunday, June 7, two of the cases attended a candlelight vigil in downtown Springfield around 9 p.m. Both were infectious but not symptomatic and did not wear masks.
- Tuesday, June 9, Michelle Nails & Spa, 1550 E. Battlefield, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., infectious and symptomatic and wearing a mask.
- Thursday, June 11, Walmart Supercenter, 3315 S. Campbell, between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. while infectious but not symptomatic and wearing a mask.
- Friday, June 12, Barnes and Noble, 3055 S. Glenstone, from 1 to 1:15, infectious and symptomatic and wearing a mask.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting and diarrhea.
If symptoms develop, public health officials say you should contact a healthcare provider using virtual care options.
