Springfield Man Killed In Officer-Involved Shooting

The Springfield Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened on Monday.

According to SPS, a special agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration shot a suspect at approximately 3:28 p.m. at 1827 S. Maryland. Agents rendered aid, but the suspect died at the scene.

He was identified as 25-year-old Caleb J. Slay from Springfield.

The SPS Criminal Investigation Division is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS.
