Wilson's Creek National Battlefield is celebrating the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the National Park Service with a fee-free day on Sunday.

Sunday August 25th is the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the National Park Service. To celebrate, Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield is joining other national park sites around the country to offer a fee-free day.

The term “fee-free” only applies to entrance fees. Fees will still apply when it comes to camping, reservations and use of concessions.

Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield is the site of the first major battle of the Civil War in the West.  It’s part of the National Park Service, and is located 10 miles southwest of Springfield at the intersection of ZZ Highway and Farm Road 182.
