The ninth annual Pink for Peitz Benefit Rodeo is Friday and Saturday (8/9-8/10) at the Saddle Club Arena in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Proceeds benefit the Peitz Cancer Support House at Baxter Regional Medical Center.
The Cirque Du Flame Fire-Arts-Music Festival will be at the Jack Mountain Music Amphitheater, 2451 State Highway O in Seymour, Friday through Sunday (8/9-8/11). The event will feature live music, fire performances, workshops and more.

The Springfield Conservation Nature Center invites anyone 18 and older to go on a two-mile hike through Hunter Creek at Vera Cruz Conservation Area Saturday (8/10). Registration is required.
The 158th Battle Anniversary and Living History Event is Saturday (8/10) at Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield, 6424 W. Farm Rd. 182 in Republic. An anniversary program will begin at 10 a.m. in front of the visitor center. The historic Ray House will be open for tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and a period blacksmith and broom maker will be doing demonstrations there. Missouri State Guard Infantry & Federal artillery demonstrations will be at Stop 5, along the tour road, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., beginning at the top of every hour. Entrance fees will be waived Saturday.

Mercy Springfield will host the Mercy Kids Health Rally Saturday (8/10) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. outside Mercy Kids Children’s Hospital in Springfield. The first 100 kids will get a voucher for a free haircut and a bike helmet. Kids can learn the rules of the road by participating in a bike rodeo. There will also be car seat checks, bounce houses, giveaways, face painting, therapy dogs and more.
The Kids Fishing Derby will be held Saturday morning (8/10) at 9 at Walter Woods Conservation Area, 7129 Dutch Elm Dr. in Joplin. Kids 15 and younger will be able to take part in catch and release fishing, and prizes will be awarded.
